Susan (Fillinger) Toby

28 years at the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas, mostly in the Entertainment Department, now retired

Attending Rodeos, horseback riding, finding great deals at the local thrift stores, playing guitar

April 2007 Susan writes: We moved to Arizona two years ago! We just love it here - kind of reminds me of Metamora (except here we have ranchers instead of farmers). We live in Chino Valley which is just a few miles north of Prescott. It's such a nice rural town. We have a home on seven acres and have our horses along with a riding arena and pastures. I'm fully retired and lovin' life right now. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it to the reunion, but God willing I'll be at our 50th. . .

Hope all is well with you and your family. Maybe I will make it back to Metamora for the next Park-O-Rama if they still have that event over at the Park.

May 2007 Susan writes: Spent 28 years at the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas = mostly in the Entertainment Department. Hobbies are attending Rodeos, horseback riding, finding great deals at the local thrift stores. I am currently taking guitar lessons at Yavapai Collage in Prescott. Look for me at the CMA next year! Bragging a little. Our son-in-law is the Producers on the hit TV show CSI…Mike and I are retired now on our little ranch in Arizona. JUST LOVIN LIFE…….

Memories: Memories of High School make me smile! Home Ec. with Mrs. Phillips, Cheer leading, the train ride to Columbus to receive our FHA awards, skating parties over at the Swanton Coliseum, walking to town during lunch hour and eating three candy bars, going steady with Brace Gleckler, Beverly Flack piercing my ears after cheer leading practice, getting my first mini skirt to wear on the Senior Trip and drag racing Dad’s 383 Plymouth Sport Fury and beating most of the guys! “Those were the days my friend…we thought they’d never end.
